HOW TO MEASURE YOUR PET FOR THE BEST FIT
 
Measuring your Pet
 
Back: Measure the length of your pet’s back from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.
Neck: Measure your pet’s neck, about where the collar rides.
Chest: Measure around your pet’s chest, just behind the front legs.
Belly:: Measure around your pet’s belly, just after the ribs
 
How We Measure The Shirts
 
To measure as accurately as possible, we lay the shirts as flat and wrinkle free as possible. Measuring at the 5 points shown in the picture, we then double the girth measurements (2,3 and 4) The first and last numbers are length and do not need to be doubled. You want as close a fit as possible without being too tight. If the shirt is too tight, it will be a struggle to get on and off and your pet won’t like it very much. What we recommend, if it is close, go up to the next size. Especially if it is a sleeved shirt. If your pet’s measurements are very close to the Small, you may want to get a Medium. If your are measuring for a male dog, pay attention to the last number in the size. You don’t want the shirt to interfere with his “leg hiking”, so to speak.

Measure around the thickest part of your pet's neck. There will be an additional 6 to 8 inches in addition to the size of your pet's neck to allow for tying.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR PET-KERCHIEFS & DOOGIE-SHIRTS
 
According to fabric manufacturers instructions, all pet-kerchiefs should be dry cleaned. The ultra-suede fabric is 100% polyester and, of course, the denim is 100% cotton. Now, that said, do we really take our jeans to the dry cleaners? Use some common sense and wash with cold or warm water and detergent. Tumble dry on medium or lower settings. Do not use bleach on any products.
If they are wrinkled, cover with a white towel and iron on low setting. We use polyester embroidery thread to hold the color fastness. Polyester does melt. If you iron the kerchief, do not use a setting higher than polyester. We back our products for quality, but we can't guarantee them against people mistakes.
